We are a not for  profit website run solely for the benefit of authors, readers , and by default, publishers.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We actively collect no personal data  on subscibers.  Our subscriber base is a secret even to us. Subscribers register to receive post updates via email . We have no access to that email list.

Embedded content from other websites

We use only original content- however, book titles are linked to Booktopia to enable you to purchase a book, only if you wish to. Once  in Booktopia’s site, they may have cookies. That is nothing do do with our site.

Analytics

We use Google analytics to see how many  visitors we get each month and who they have listened to. Mashare has been in operation to give us an idea of visitor numbers in individual sections. It is largely disabled .

Who we share your data with

We sometimes send  ‘Top Twenty’ authors of the month to publishers – this is just a list of names, no data involved.Just confirming,w e collect no real data on our users at all.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. In the case of authors on this site, all have signed release forms to allow us to use their recordings in order to promote their work.
